Oops!

I know I am very late but I have a good excuse! You didn't want to see pictures of me unpacking now did you?

Now that things have settled some and I am crazy in love with the challenges of my new position I can chronicle a little of what went one.

First off I found my favorite beer from my favorite microbrewery in the Sobeys here in Red Deer (all the confirmation I needed that this is home!)

I then went to the salon and had my nails done after 6 months of not seeing a manicurist and discovered Gelish nails that don't hurt or explode like the Gel and Acrylic... They are amazing! I only have 2 minor chips after 2 weeks and the colours are so pretty!

I had to go conservative because I live in court...
But it will be Pink Glitter when I am on vacation!!

We were lucky enough to have a sunny weeknight BBQ in the courtyard

I actually have already been back to Wainwright since I moved and stopped in Camrose for my usual on the road meal of:

Then Friday came and I arrived home to these!!!

What a nice way to end the week!

Then it was the weekend and Michael's keen eye found these on our way to Prometheus:

Michael's First REAL Lobster!!!

So Yummy!!!

Classic!

And then we went for the best Milk Shakes of Life!!!

Cheers!!!

Sometimes you just need to shoot something

This past weekend I went on a little adventure after a very long and trying week at the office. I finally had an opportunity to to go paint balling and shoot some of the stresses of daily life away. And I Loved it! After about 5 hours of play I only had about 5  marks and one pretty sweet bruise so I think this is something I could really get into.

Day 1

Day 2
See mum, I didn't get too hurt too badly!

But my weekend didn't only consist of shooting people and getting shot I also made a Red Velvet Cheese Cake for a beautiful little girls birthday party

I satiated a craving I have had for solid week for a berry chicken salad I seen on a Wendy's commercial and Michael was so kind to pick up the supplies for on grocery day this week:

And I Laughed!!

This is my last week in my little town and I start in Red Deer next week so I expect a very busy week ahead!

Cheers!

Transition

These last few days have been a little crazy. I am transitioning from my position in small town Alberta to my new one in Red Deer. I only start there mid month but my lease was up May 31. This meant using my vacation and overtime to take some time off right?!? Wrong!! It meant couch surfing for two weeks until I can head home. This turn out to be an pretty good experience. I was able to spent the weekend with my Christmas family and just relax with them before they head home, then spend my week with a lovely co worker and her family. I am so thankful for everyone's generosity and making me so comfortable during this time of transition. So thank you for all the help in this time of transition! You will never know what your generosity has meant to me. Now to talk about a fun little adventure I had a few weekends ago while in Red Deer with Michael. We attended the cutest community theater event I have been to in a very long time. Alberta has a great program for Christian family friendly theater and they put on a play called the Fabulous Jungle Book. This story was a musical Las Vegas style interpretation of the Jungle Book. With an Elvis Shir Kahn and Comedic Baloo and more glitter than a show girl the very talented 8-18 year olds told the story in a whole new way that had children of all ages laughing awwing and dancing in their seats! This was actually a surprise from Michael, who obviously has figured out that I have mad love for theater. I had so much fun I actually sent off a resume with a friend who works with them to hopefully work on their fall production of Narnia. So fingers crossed I will be found in a local dance studio again this fall :) I hope everyone is enjoying their spring! Mine is turning out beautifully! Cheers! CN
