Awww! Because I am just that big of a cheese ball!

So I have spent the last week in bed as often as possible because I have been so sick from what I believe is either the dry air, or the 20 degrees one day -10 the next weather. So I haven't been up to much that is worthy of writing about. But what I will say is that there is a change I am praying for all day every day that if all my prayers work there will be a HUGE post all about this event.

Anyway because my week was a pretty regular sick week here are a few pins I Awed or LOL over this week!
Aww!! Never thought a Norman Rockwell would make me do the "Aww Face"

This is true for all stores/spas/salons in my town!

Don't you just want to Nuggle him!!!

Now that's more like it Alberta!!

First off I want to say "Good job Alberta for the awesome weather!!" It was greatly appreciated. I loved wearing a sun dress to easter mass and not having to worry about ice for a few days :)

I could get used to early April's that look like this!!!

Now onto my Birthday weekend!!! I am one of those crazy birthday people, who will forever love their birthday and revert to being a child. It made me laugh a few weeks ago when I was warning Michael of my love for my birthday when he laughed and compared me to this...

To which I agreed!

Another thing about me and Birthdays is that I don't like cake very much... Much like my child like love for my birthday I also eat cake like a 3 year old.... ICING ONLY!! So I usually prefer to have ice cream or a cup cake. And because the rest of the world loves cake I made these for a little boy who is very quickly becoming a large stakeholder in my heart.

Key Lime Cupcakes!!!

He like I only ate the icing (wish I had a picture because it was pretty precious).

My Birthday started like this:

Awww!
And then  a Venti Cinnamon Dolce Latte appeared along with...

Yes Isa, I know! I do get a lot of Flowers!!!
(Love My Birthday Birds of Paradise)
Then off to see this:
Which was kick a$$ AWESOME!

Being away from home for my birthday was pretty hard, but it was so much easier when I received so many well wishes like these:

Cheers!

Because "just because flowers" are the best kind

So it was Easter weekend and my Vacation these last few weeks, and I spent them in Red Deer with Michael and Edmonton with my dad :) Nothing too out of the ordinary went on this week really. I was in Church from sundown Thursday until Sunday noon so other than that I just relaxed and enjoyed my time off. There was a freak 25cm snow storm last week that blew out the power in Edmonton, but I was busy with my Easter Eggs and for got to take a picture! The before after and a while later pictures would have been insane! Within 48 hours the the snow stopping it was all gone!

Just because Flowers (best thing of life!)

My Eggs for the children (and Michael)
The girls' eggs are sparkly!

Easter Sunday Potato Pancakes

My contribution to the Family Easter Dinner
CADBURY MINI EGG CHEESE CAKE!!!!!

Michael's Carrot Cake Contribution
(But I iced it!)
Cheers!

And may the odds be ever in your favor

So we all know that I love movies that are also books...

Only the first one though the rest made me die a little inside every time...

First question I ask when I am making a new friendship "How big of an issue is it going to be that I love Harry Potter???"

Epic! Full Stop

Can it be December 14th RIGHT NOW!?!?!?!?

And as much as I love seeing books turned into movies, I cannot enter the theater until I have read the book cover to cover. Otherwise I will never finish the books. Which leads me to my what I have been doing for the last week... JUMPING ON THE HUNGER GAMES BANDWAGON!

I LOVE these books. Finally a good role model for young girls who isn't so obsessed with a boy that she would die if he wasn't there. A young woman who actually would consider living her life alone and  be okay with that. She does what is right and that road isn't always easy. These are the books I would like all the little girls I love dearly to read and learn from. Yes it is a little on the bloody mess side of things, but the over all message is amazing: "You don't need a boy to get you out of trouble you can do it on your own". And let's face it which of these girls do you want your daughter to grow up to be??

Bella??

Or

Katniss

The movie is "true to the book"  but as usual there were several missing pieces that although not completely essential I felt added to the plot and was disappointed in them not being there. But in saying that I saw it twice in 6 days.

I really don't want to spoil it for you so go out, get these books, give them to your daughters, read them together... better yet have their father read the books with them the theater was mostly 12-14 year old girls with their fathers when I went the first time. Then go see them movie. I killed on in a day and a half, they are an intense read that you cannot put down until you have finished.

So go out there "And may the odds be ever in your favor"

Cheers!
